The teal monument sign outside Marketplace Garage will come soon alive with an information display that helps guide motorists to parking in Burlington. To run electricity to the sign, Department of Public Works will need to close the Bank Street entrance of Marketplace Garage from Nov 2-9, 2020.
Cherry Street entrance will be open as usual and Marketplace Lower permit holders will not be affected.
Once powered up, these signs will indicate “full” or “open” as customers approach the garage. The sign was designed to prevent backups and/or unnecessary “cycling” through the garage. Also, if full, arrows will direct motorists towards additional parking at College Street Garage.
