The Dealer.com Burlington Criterium will bring elite level cyclists to Burlington this Labor Day(9/4). The event will feature 11 races through the downtown beginning at 8:30am.
The racecourse route is shown on the image to the right, but some street closures are one block out from the race course. All streets on this route will be closed to traffic in both directions during the event. These streets will be posted with No Parking signs between 5:30 to 6:30pm on Sunday, September 3rd, which will prohibit parking after 6:30am on Monday, September 4th. Any vehicles still parked on these streets after 6:30am on Monday, September 4th, will be towed. The street closures will begin at 7am on Monday and reopen once the last race and clean-up crews are finished. All streets are expected to reopened in their entirety by 6pm.
Access off-street parking via Cherry Street. Marketplace Garage (147 Cherry St.) and Lakeview Garage (41 Cherry St.) are two public garages that will offer free parking in observance of Labor Day. On-street meter parking not affected by these closures will also be free for Labor Day.
Park Burlington will continue to post updates on Twitter, Facebook and parkburlington.com. Additional questions regarding the Burlington race can be directed to Tom Moody at [email protected] or by submitting questions via the contact form on their website.
