$2.1 million in repairs and improvements to the College Street Garage have been completed as of November 2017. College Street Garage is now fully open, with entrances open on Battery and College; exiting the garage is temporarily restricted to College Street and via Lakevi
ew Garage on Cherry Street.
College Street Garage had been opening in stages during Summer and Fall of 2017. The construction ran up against delays due to the wet Spring/Summer, but finished in time to allow for full capacity in Burlington’s public garages before construction begins on the Burlington City Place/Burlington Town Center Garage. The City of Burlington expects these repairs will preserve the garage to allow for at least 20 more years of use as a parking facility.
This College Street Garage Project represents the next phase of the $9 million in necessary repairs and improvements to Burlington’s public garages and is a continuation of the $1 Million of work that was completed in the Marketplace and College Street Garages in 2016.
