Construction work will lead to impacts at both Marketplace Garage and the City lot on the corner of Main Street and South Winooski Avenue. This work will provide electricity to new signage which will help guide visitors to available parking.
On Monday (11/13) and Tuesday (11/14), construction on the Main & South Winooski Lot will impact the south entrances to the lot. Parking will still be available
throughout Monday, but construction could result in the lot being closed on Tuesday. We will keep this post updated as we learn more.
Marketplace Garage will also be impacted on Wednesday (11/15) and Thursday (11/16). The Bank Street entrance of the garage will be closed. Visitors should utilize the entrance at 147 Cherry Street. Marketplace Garage will not lose any parking spaces during this construction work and monthly permit holders will still have access to their parking spots.
On Friday, crews will be finishing work on both projects, which may result in temporary closures at both sites.
Despite this work plenty of parking is available throughout the downtown. Drivers should utilize Lakeview Garage (41 Cherry Street) and the recently reopened College Street Garage. To view all parking options in downtown Burlington, view our Interactive Parking Map.
