Enjoy Summer Weather at the Waterfront

Maritime Festival, Waterfront, Burlington, VT

Summer is the busiest time of year on the Burlington waterfront. With great events coming up throughout the summer, it’s good to familiarize yourself with where to park and how to navigate this popular summer destination.

Both City-operated Lakeview and College Street garages offer 2-hour free parking and are a short walk to the waterfront; in addition to these garages, there are multiple parking facilities on the waterfront itself. Check out our interactive parking map for a full list of locations!

The Main Street landing parking lot is a privately operated facility located at the intersection of College Street and Lake Street, typically offering public parking after 5pm during the week and all-day on weekends. The Pease Lot Located on College Street, is operated by Burlington Parks & Recreation and features 68 parking spaces. Guest should pay for a space at nearby automated kiosks. Lastly, at the bottom of College street is the privately operated ECHO Lot, offering public parking everyday, unless there’s a private event.

Waterfront parking can also be found along Lake Street and at the newly completed Lake Street Extension lot, which offers around 90 spaces at the northern end of the Waterfront by the A_Dog Skatepark.

Additional Waterfront parking can be found at the bottom of Maple Street. The Perkins Pier lot is run by Burlington Parks & Recreation with a $6 per day rate for residents and $8 per day rate for non-residents. A few blocks closer at the bottom of King Street, there is privately run parking garage located in the Cornerstone Building. Lastly, across the street from College Street Garage is a public lot at 65 College Street, offering parking for $5 per session.

Parking availability is subject to change as a result of waterfront events, so it is smart to arrive early or even avoid driving if possible. Take the new and improved Burlington Greenway and coast along the waterfront. Local Motion often operates secure valet bicycle parking along the waterfront for large events. Don’t forget that Greenride Bikeshare has a hub near ECHO, view a map of their hubs here! View an interactive map of all bike parking options here!
