CarShare Vermont is a Burlington-based nonprofit on a mission to help more Vermonters get around with fewer cars. Since 2008, they’ve provided a convenient, affordable, and reliable alternative to private car ownership for both residents and local businesses.
By offering hourly or daily access in lieu of vehicle ownership, CarShare Vermont is helping members save money while supporting sustainable commuting choices and a multi-modal car-lite lifestyle. Their growing network of vehicles in Burlington and Winooski are available 24/7 for personal or work-related travel.
With support from the Chittenden Regional Planning Commission, CarShare Vermont recently launched a campaign called CarShareToday.com to help introduce even more Chittenden County residents to the benefits of carsharing. New members can get $50 off when they apply for an annual membership and use the promo code “carsharetoday” — they’ll waive your application fee ($30) and stock your account with a $20 driving credit to get you started.
They’re also offering all existing members the ability to get up to $100 in driving credit. Just share the link www.carsharetoday.com with friends by email or on social media, and you’ll receive a $20 credit each time a friend or family member signs up based on your referral (up to $100).
