The Downtown Parking & Transportation Council will explore ways to improve downtown’s parking and transportation system, guide our parking team’s issue-focus and provide input on any proposed parking policy changes. Interested in joining? Email Alex Bunten at [email protected] for more info.
Our group convened in January for the third time and discussed the recent parking enforcement changes that were implemented in December and recently made permanent. The new system will roll back the hours of 
enforcement. Another topic discussed was the success of the recent holiday parking promotion and the potential for future parking promotions that could be run through Park Burlington and local partners.
Members also focused on potential issues for 2018, including clarifying downtown residential parking and forging closer ties with local Universities.
The council consists of a wide variety of downtown stakeholders including, property owners, entrepreneurs, downtown workers, residents and city officials. In the past, Burlington has had similar organizations who focused on solving parking and transportation issues.
