St Paul Street Construction Update – 4/5/19

As part of the Great Streets Project, SD Ireland re-started work on St Paul Street, Monday 4/1/19.

Below is a summary of what they did last week and what they are planning to do this week.

Last Week

SD Ireland arrived to the site on Monday and Tuesday and began excavation for light pole bases and found no frost in the ground which allowed them to further mobilize to the site. They installed eight light pole bases and removed pavement south of King Street to get ready for sub-base reconstruction and began sub-base installation on the east side of the road.

SD Ireland also began excavating on the west side between Main Street and King Street for under-drain installation and prep for soil cell installation.

Next Week

SD Ireland will be replacing the waterline in the Maple Street intersection and may continue excavating on the west side between Main Street and King Street.

Impacts

Starting Monday (4/8) Stratos garage entrance and exit will be closed from King Street. The Maple Street intersection will be closed off. Please look for detour signs and local traffic only signs. The crosswalks will be closed at the Maple Street intersection but sidewalks turning at the intersection will remain open. (See map above for clarification.)
