The 13th Annual Lake Champlain Maritime Festival will take place on July 25-28, featuring events, live music, boat exhibitions, local food and all things sea-faring.
Featured artists/bands will include Lake Street Dive, The Wood Brothers, Twiddle’s Tumble Down, and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. For the best pricing to the shows, buy your concert tickets ahead of time.
Lake Street Extension and Pease lot are the closest parking options to the festival green, but they will likely fill up quick. Lakeview and College Street garages are just up the hill and rarely reach capacity. The garages offer free parking for the first two hours. Public transport is available on the waterfront as well. Green Mountain Transit’s purple line shuttle runs for free. It picks up passengers at the bottom of College Street and runs the length of College. More info on GMT’s website here.
For those who are planning to ride their bikes, Local Motion offers free secure bike valet, located north of the Waterfront parking lot on Lake Street. A staff member or volunteer will watch all of your biking gear while you’re enjoying the event. This is a great option for those who want to beat the traffic.
