The Burlington Farmers Market Heads for New Pastures in the South End

With construction on the way for City Hall Park, the Burlington Farmers Market will leave its traditional downtown location and head south to Pine Street for the next two summers. Its first location change since 1980, the Farmers Market will kick off on Saturday, May 11, at 345 Pine Street – in the parking lot between the Barge Canal Market and CSWD Drop Off.

Long time attendees shouldn’t worry though – the Farmers Market’s new location is easy to get to by car, bike or bus and, yes, ample parking is available nearby (see map below).

The weekly event will feature over 90 vendors selling produce, flowers, artisan wares, prepared foods, and more. There will also be space for music and entertainment to help you enjoy a great Saturday out in the South End.

There is a limited number of on street parking available on Pine Street.

The Farmers Market will feature free on-site bike parking from Local Motion, ensuring that you can safely store your bike while you enjoy everything that vendors have to offer. Greenride Bikeshare users should take advantage of the docking station in front of the Maltex building.

Attendees should also consider Green Mountain Transit‘s Pine Street bus which runs every half hour on Saturdays. The route connects the Downtown Transit Center with the Baird Center at 1138 Pine Street, and features multiple stops near the Farmers Market.

The Burlington Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. through October.
