Whether you’re biking around the lake for two weeks, looking for off-street parking due to a winter parking ban, or you just need a spot to keep your car while out on the town, Burlington has options for overnight parking.
College Street & Lakeview Garages
College Street and Lakeview, both a short walk from Burlington’s waterfront, offer overnight parking for a maximum of two weeks. Each are great options for visitors who may want to explore the surrounding area for several days, or folks who are departing from Burlington on a short trip.
Corporate Plaza Garage
A block away from all the amenities of the Church Street Marketplace, Corporate Plaza Garage offers overnight parking. After 6 p.m. parking is $5 prepaid.
The regular rate ($2/half hour) resumes at 7 a.m. the following morning, and cars will be charged for each additional half hour spent in the garage.
With entrances on both Bank and Cherry Street and a walkway directly to Church Street, the Marketplace Garage is convenient for enjoying Burlington’s downtown. With a maximum stay of 48 hours, it charges $10 per 24 hour period.
Like College Street and Lakeview garages, payment can be made at the Pay on Foot stations prior to returning to your car or upon exiting by scanning the barcode on your ticket.
Public Lots and On-Street Parking
If you’re not going home for the night, for one reason or another, these on-street spaces and parking lots are ideal.
Using Park Burlington’s interactive map, you can find the locations of street parking around Burlington. Smart meters, which are enforced from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., while blue, brown, and yellow meters are enforced from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Outside of winter bans, these are convenient for a single night’s stay. To avoid being ticketed, be sure to get back to your vehicle before 9 a.m. This applies to metered lots, like Bove’s and Fletcher Free LIbrary, as well.
Winter Parking Ban
During any winter parking ban, street parking outside the downtown core (Zone F in city ordinance) is off limits from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Within the downtown core, the ban is in effect from midnight to 6 a.m.
