From February 12th-17th downtown visitors could access an all new parking promotion. The collaboration between the Church Street Marketplace, Dept. of Public Works and Burlington Business Association gave drives $3 off all on-street parking meters, by using Parkmobile.
The promotion built on of our widely used Holiday Parking promotion and once again Burlington drivers took advantage. Over the course of the week, 182 users saved over $423 dollars simply by using the promo code ‘LOVE’. Over 700 downtown visitors have now saved nearly $1,800 using Parkmobile promotions. These new users are supporting local businesses and enjoying everything that our downtown has to offer.
In related news, the City of Burlington has negotiated reduced fees for all Parkmobile users. Transaction fees will decrease from $0.35 to $0.30 to initiate a parking session, the City also negotiated the removal of a $0.15 fee for adding time to your meter. In December, the City announced they would be permanently reducing their hours of enforcement on downtown parking meters after extensive data collection. This will lead to fewer parking tickets and a more satisfactory customer experience.
