Chartered in 1973 by the Vermont General Assembly, The GMT (Green Mountain Transit) serves Burlington, Essex, South Burlington, Hinesburg, Williston, Shelburne, Winooski, Milton and a parts of Colchester Vermont. Commuters from Montpelier, St. Albans and Middlebury may take advantage of the LINK Express routes to and from the Burlington area with minimal stops in between cities. GMT Free College Street Shuttle

The GMT offers a free shuttle that travels up and down College Street from the waterfront to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
